Client Portfolio Manager
The Role
Barber McLelland are working in partnership with a leading regional firm of chartered accountants who are looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Client Portfolio Manager for their Retford office.
The business have established themselves as a personalised, friendly accounting and business advisory firm who have developed an excellent reputation across the region over a number of years and are now seen as an employer of choice.
In keeping with their ambitious growth strategy the business have continued to expand their service offering region through client referrals, business development activities and acquisitions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the regional partners and managers, the role of Client Portfolio Manager will be responsible for a variety of accounting services, supporting a wide range of clients which will include:
- Management of own client portfolio, being the main day to day point of contact for the businesses
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts
- Manage client audits ( also consider none audit applications)
- Preparation of Management Information
- Corporate and Personal Tax
- Training and advice on accounting software
- Provide commercial business support to clients
Skills and Qualities
The business is looking to recruit an individual who has developed a minimum of 5 years experience working within an accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, however the business would also encourage applications for individuals who have developed experience within the accountancy profession but have decided not to take formal accountancy qualifications.
The successful individual will be able to work unsupervised and confidently deal directly with clients. Individuals must have a good working knowledge of the production of statutory and management accounts. Experience in managing audits would also be a distinct advantage; however, the firm has the flexibility to have no audit clients within the portfolio.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting Salary – £40,000 – £45,000 (option to increase depending on experience)
