Senior Tax Accountant

The Role

An highly established, award winning accountancy practice with a leading reputation within the region are recruiting an experienced tax professional for the role of Senior Tax Accountant within their Doncaster office.

The firm have been established for many years but are continuing their growth through referrals and business development. They offer a full range of accounting and taxation services to a highly varied client portfolio, providing staff members an opportunity to work with a diverse client base.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working within a highly supportive tax team, the role of  Tax Accountant will support a highly varied client portfolio and will assist in the following:

  • Working within a small team, reporting to the Head of Tax
  • Managing a portfolio of varied and dynamic clients
  • Processing tax returns for directors, sole traders, partnerships, landlords, high net worth individuals), non-UK domiciled individuals and more
  • Tax Compliance advice/planning including Capital Gains calculations/returns, remuneration planning
  • Communicating directly with clients and liaising with HMRC
  • Reviewing work and training of other team members

Skills and Qualities

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 year’s experience of Tax compliance
  • The ideal candidate will be ATT and/or CTA qualified, however applications are encouraged from individuals who have developed suitable experience working within a tax position but decided not to take formal tax qualifications
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Salary and Benefits

  • £30,000 to £40,000 (dependent upon experience)
